CONTEMPORALIS was founded in 2021 in Paris by Roberta Malavasi and Riccardo Valentini, an Italian couple of contemporary art collectors who have been living in Paris for over a decade.

CONTEMPORALIS is a non-profit cultural organization dedicated to strengthening and expanding the dialogue between contemporary French and Italian art. Its mission is to bring these two artistic landscapes closer together, offering young artists the opportunity to present their work beyond their national borders.

The association supports artists in establishing meaningful, lasting, and productive connections with collectors, gallerists, curators, and both public and private cultural institutions. Its objective is to facilitate encounters and foster a deeper exchange among the diverse actors that shape the contemporary art ecosystem.

In recent years, CONTEMPORALIS has initiated residency projects in the French capital, culminating in solo exhibitions showcasing works produced during the artists’ stays in Paris. Moreover, the association has promoted emerging Italian and French artists through external collaborations and by participating in initiatives and collateral events such as IN-EDITA (Venice), the GIORNATA DEL CONTEMPORANEO organized by AMACI and ARTEVERONA (Verona).
